Save WildWild

“Our mission is to progress biodiversity conservation in Wilderness by keeping residents informed of local relevant news and opportunities for action, and supporting and collaborating for ecosystem restoration”

Why We Exist

We’re rapidly losing Wilderness’s main attraction—its stunning natural beauty and biodiversity—due to outdated bylaws and insufficient enforcement. Further, local communities, underserved by the municipality, have immense potential to flourish with more attention and support. While some environmental damage is irreversible, efforts are underway to restore ecosystems and prevent further harm.

Savewild aims to engage residents in preserving our natural spaces and supporting local communities for a thriving Wilderness.

To Inform

Bringing awareness to the sensitivity of the biodiversity and communities of the greater Wilderness area, and sharing resources on biodiversity conservation and community development.

To Motivate

To inspire action for local conditions and highlight opportunities for engagement.

To Support

Facilitating connections and collaboration, and supporting the work of other environmental bodies and actors contributing positively to our socio-ecological environment.

Who We Are

We are a group of Wilderness residents concerned about the future of our beautiful environment and its people.
